Sometimes, there are certain shows which become an important part of pop culture. Apart from having a big fan following, they also garner a huge space on several social media, conventions, tabloids, and many such things. One such show that has been talked about since its first season is Stranger Things. After four very successful seasons, the cast and crew now gear up for Stranger Things Season 5, even though it might come with some bad news. Stranger Things Season 5 is officially the last season of Stranger Things.

They say, all good things must come to an end, but no one could have prepared fans for their favorite show to come to an end. Stranger Things turned into a pop cultural phenomenon and fans hoped that it would last for as many seasons as possible, but alas, it has come to its inevitable end. As fans and viewers ready themselves for the final lap of Stranger Things, we’re here to tell you everything that we know about it so far. Don’t worry, you won’t have to turn your screen upside down for this!

What Is The Plot of Stranger Things Season 5?

Stranger Things Season 5 is still in the works, which means we don’t have an official plot or synopsis yet. This entire show has gone above and beyond to become one of the top science fiction shows on Netflix, with some very interesting topics which quite literally encompass the whole universe and everything beyond it. So, how does one bring something this huge to an end with only a series of episodes at its disposal? We can’t answer that just yet, but soon enough Stranger Things 5 will be able to. Hopefully, the final season will answer a lot of questions and give our favorite characters some closure as well. We certainly do hope for a happily ever after.

The Plot of Stranger Things Season 5

In an interview with Variety, David Harbour, who plays the fan-favorite character, Hopper, says, “I know what happens and it’s quite moving and quite beautiful.” This is his response to the ending of Stranger Things Season 5, and specifically Hopper’s ending. Stranger Things Season 5 will most certainly end on an emotional note, which means that the fans need to keep tissues handy and be prepared for any major character deaths. Season 4 ends with a cliffhanger, and Stranger Things Season 5 will most likely pick up from there. The final season will be Hawkins versus The Upside Down. It is only a matter of time before we find out who wins.

This tweet by the writers hints at a total of eight episodes that will wrap up the story of a lifetime.

The Cast of Stranger Things Season 5

Advertisements

The cast of Stranger Things has made the show what it is today. Each and every character was carefully cast by the creators of the show, and all the decisions paid off in the end. One of the most important castings was for the role of Eleven, and we can’t imagine anyone other than Millie Bobby Brown playing that role. Eleven is her. She is Eleven. So there’s not a smidge of doubt that she will be reprising her role for Stranger Things Season 5 along with the main gang which consists of Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, and Sadie Sink, who play the roles of Mike, Dustin, Lucan, Will, and Max respectively.

The Cast of Stranger Things Season 5

Other than these troublemakers, several other cast members will be reprising their roles for Stranger Things Season 5. These cast members include Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Priah Ferguson, Maya Hawke, and several others. It will be interesting to see how many of these emerge still alive by the end of Stranger Things Season 5. In an interview with IndieWire The Duffer Brothers admit that although it is tempting, they will stay away from adding any new characters to the final season. Stranger Things Season 5 will see all the characters from the previous seasons (those who are still alive, of course) come together one final time.

When and Where Can You Watch Stranger Things Season 5?

As always, Stranger Things Season 5 will be available to stream on Netflix, just like the previous seasons. It will be interesting to see Netflix try and produce another show which will be worthy of replacing something as big as Stranger Things. Season 1 and Season 2 of Stranger Things were released in 2016 and 2017 respectively, after which there was a slight gap and Season 3 didn’t return until 2019. After that, the pandemic hit, which resulted in an even bigger delay, and Season 4 was released earlier this year in July.

Since Stranger Things Season 5 is still under production, it is possible it won’t premiere until late 2023 or even 2024. If things go back to what they were for the first two seasons, in terms of scheduling and filming, we can surely hope to see Stranger Things Season 5 in 2023 but we are expecting a 2024 date. Nevertheless, we will keep you posted on any updates!

Is There a Trailer for Stranger Things Season 5?

Stranger Things Season 5 is still under production, which means there is no official trailer or even a teaser just yet. Now, although there is no official trailer, this is when we must rely on and appreciate fan-made trailers that also manage to send shivers down our spines, like this one right here! The official trailer is still a while away, until then we can bask in the glory of and enjoy some fan-made trailers!

Conclusion

Stranger Things Season 5 will be an emotional journey for everyone: the cast, the crew, Duffer Brothers, and the fans. Albeit, it will be the journey of a lifetime and we can’t wait to see how the story ends. Keeping the emotional bits aside, if you had to spin off a series of any of the characters or the couples, who would you like to see? Do let us know in the comments!
