José Tenoch Huerta Mejía turned 41 on the 29th of January this year, and we’re just as shocked as you are! Tenoch Huerta was born in Ecatepec de Morelos, State of Mexico, and has been popular in Mexico for a while now, and is now branching out into Hollywood and we have his father to thank for it. While his father didn’t secure him this big role, he does play a huge part in Tenoch’s journey to becoming an actor. Tenoch’s father enrolled him in an acting course, which eventually led to his passion for acting and his understanding that this was his calling! Although Tenoch is of indigenous descent, and as a part of his role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, he has been thrilled to share more about the indigenous Mexican culture, and he hopes that his role as Namor will help people embrace who they are and where they came from. If you didn’t love him already, we’re certain you do now!
Tenoch made his acting debut in 2006 with a minor role in a Mexican movie. In 2015, he appeared in the movie The 33, and it wasn’t until 2018 that Tenoch made his Netflix debut with Narcos: Mexico. He has also been nominated as Best Actor at the Short Film Festival in Mexico City and the Ariel Awards, which give recognition to the best of Mexican Cinema. Tenoch has now entered into the bigger league movies and as of now we are unsure of his upcoming projects, but he is likely to make an appearance in Phase 5 of the MCU, possibly as a villain to some, and an ally to others. Now that Tenoch is under the spotlight, the one thing he will have to get used to is the array of dating rumors and fans being curious about his love life, but we’re sure he knows what he signed up for!
