That ‘90s Show is now officially available to stream on Netflix, and everyone is excited about binge-watching the reboot of their all-time favorite sitcom, That ‘70s Show. People usually have mixed feelings about reboots, and that is understandable, because most shows and movies haven’t always been able to pull it off, but things seem to be a little different with That ‘90s Show. This show has been heartwarming, funny, and filled with teenage drama all at once, despite its cheesy humor.
So far, fans seem to be enjoying watching the next generation of kids at Point Place, and there was a lot to unpack in the first season. Speaking of which, we know the question on everyone’s mind right now, will there be That ‘90s Show? Well, we’re here to answer all your questions, so keep reading to find out everything you need to know about That ‘90s Show, from renewal news to the speculated plot, to the cast, and much more.

Right now, That ‘90s Show hasn’t been up on Netflix long enough for there to be a conclusive decision about That ‘90s Show Season 2, but if the viewership and critics’ reviews keep doing well moving forward, we can definitely hear some renewal news about That ‘90s Show in the coming weeks or months.
Now, before you get too excited, we would recommend not getting too excited because as we have spoken about this before, Netflix has been canceling a lot of shows after just one season. We do believe that eventually there might be That ‘90s Show Season 2, but that is only because of the original series, even though it isn’t streaming on Netflix anymore and has moved to Peacock.
So, worst case scenario, if Netflix cancels That ‘90s Show after just one season, Peacock might pick it up moving forward. Maybe the creators really thought this process through.
Since there is no official news on That ‘90s Show Season 2, we don’t have a concrete plot from the creators or Netflix just yet. Albeit, we can make our guesses based on the first season that has only just been released and how it ended. So, if you do not want any spoilers, we suggest you skip to the next section of the article because this will contain a few spoilers from season one!
First things first, That ‘90s Show Season 2 will definitely focus on Leia being confused between Nate and Jay. Although Leia has had her heart set on Jay for the entire first season, things changed in the last episode, when Nate and she realized just how similar they are.
They would have even kissed if Gwen hadn’t walked in on them. We are more than certain that this will be one of the ongoing plots of That ‘90s Show Season 2, and will also cause some major friction between Nate and Jay, who have been inseparable so. It will be interesting to see how this conflict changes the group dynamic.
We still don’t know if That ‘90s Show Season 2 will pick up right after the summer, or will they skip a year ahead and move on to the next summer break when Leia is supposed to visit her grandparents. There have been a lot of characters introduced in That ‘90s Show Season 1, and we can’t wait to see what the future seasons have in store for these characters.
The one thing fans are definitely going to want to see more of That ‘90s Show Season 2 are some of the original characters because the first season mostly had a few seasons with Fez and Donna being a part of the ongoing storyline. However, their return is still a question mark.
We don’t have any confirmation regarding the cast of That ‘90s Show Season 2 just yet, but based on the previous season, we can definitely expect most of the cast to return for another season. We would love to see Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp return as Red and Kitty because they truly were everyone’s favorite characters in the first season. We have no doubt that Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Reyn Doi, Sam Morelos, and Maxwell Acee Donovan will reprise their role as the main gang including Leia, Gwen, Jay, Ozzie, Nikki, and Nate.
Not all of these characters have found their footing just yet, and we hope they do in That ‘90s Show Season 2.
While these are only hopes so far, and nothing about a future contract has been said just yet, we do hope to see more of Laura Prepon, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, and Wilmer Valderrama in That ‘90s Show Season 2.
There is no official release date for That ‘90s Show Season 2 since it hasn’t been confirmed just yet, but hopefully, if That ‘90s Show Season 2 is happening then it will be released around the same time in 2024!
As of now, if there is a streaming platform that would ideally renew That ‘90s Show, it is Netflix, but we all have mixed feelings about that. So hopefully, the creators have some kind of a backup in place, because That ‘90s Show is a sitcom, and a sitcom deserves more than just one season!
As soon as there is a trailer for That ‘90s Show Season 2, you will all be the first ones to know, including any updates about the future of this show. When the trailer releases, we can only hope that it is as much fun as That ‘90s Show Season 1 trailer, which had us all excited for the show.
