Koume Fujichika’s Suki na Ko ga Megane o Wasureta or The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses is a Japanese manga series that was first published on the author’s Twitter account and was later serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker magazine in November 2019. There are ten tankobon volumes collected as of January 2023 and the anime is set to premiere in July 2023. No exact date has been shared, but we are predicting that it will release by 10 July 2023.
You must have had a crush back in high school days or maybe in elementary school right? Crushes can be sweet and when we have a crush on someone we forget everything around us when they are in sight.
Similarly, Kaede Komura has a crush on his deskmate named Ai Mie. He is head over heels for her looks, cute charms, and her eyes beneath the glasses. One day Komura finds her without glasses and to his surprise her eyes didn’t appear as he thought to be but still, he found them adorable.
Ai the girl with glasses tends to forget her glasses and because of her terrible vision she is unable to work or do any task without them, here’s where our protagonist jumps in to save the day. If you are looking for some wholesome and romantic anime then don’t forget to catch The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses in July 2023.
The official website of The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses describes the story in the following way:
“This love began at a naked eye distance. Komura-kun, a junior high school boy who is a little late, likes Mie-san, the girl next to him who wears glasses. “Through that thick lens is fine. I want to be able to look into Mr. Mie’s beautiful eyes.”
Despite being attracted to Mr. Mie, who has a mysterious charm, he spends his days without even being able to talk to him. Such Mie is a natural girl who always forgets her glasses. Three days after her class change. Komura-kun, who was seated next to her, struggled to support Mie-san, who was in trouble, but contrary to such feelings, Mie-san was trying hard to see something.
Don’t stop!? GoHands, a talented studio, will make a TV animation of Koume Fujichika’s blockbuster original, which has been serialized in the monthly magazine “Gangan JOKER” (published by Square Enix) and has generated tens of thousands of buzz on Twitter!
The relationship between two people who are too close but the purest is inevitable! In the summer of 2023, a girl who forgot her glasses and a muzukyun innocent romantic comedy that begins with “Zero Distance” will begin!”
The whole cast has not been revealed yet but we think there will be less number of cast members as the anime doesn’t have too many characters and is mainly focused on Ai and Komura.
