In a split second, her entire world came crashing down, but Lidia wasn’t about to give up. So, she packed her bags and left, hoping to turn to the one person who would help her. While there were several interesting characters in The Law According to Lidia Poët, from love interests to anarchists, the one person who impacted Lidia’s life and career the most was her brother, Enrico. It took him a little while to come around, but when he did, he agreed on letting Lidia become his assistant, so she wouldn’t have to stop doing what she was passionate about, but also stay clear from the eye of the law. However, Lidia was anything but careful.
In fact, she was a fairly reckless woman when it came to proving her and Enrico’s clients right, but what mattered was that she also managed to figure the case out, and justice was served, even if it meant getting her client to admit to murder. Lidia believed in the greater good, and her brother saw that spark in her, even though he was quick to dismiss her most of the time. Lidia and Enrico’s relationship saw a lot of progress in the six episodes, and it was beautifully written. If there is another season of The Law According to Lidia Poët, we surely hope to see more of that.
Of course, we have to mention Jacopo if we are talking about The Law According to Lidia Poët. The sexual tension and chemistry between him and Lidia were truly undeniable. There will often be moments where you will find yourselves rooting for the two of them, and other times wondering if Lidia deserves better. Nevertheless, Jacopo being one of her main love interests, along with his ongoing subplot, were one of the interesting parts of The Law According to Lidia Poët, which could go amiss if you aren’t paying close attention to the series.
The Law According to Lidia Poët ended on a cliffhanger. Lidia is convinced that there is no future for her Turin especially after her appeal was turned down, despite all the love and support. She is ready to pack her bags and leave for America, without saying goodbye to her family, because she believes that if she left Italy, she could at least practice law freely. The Law According to Lidia Poët ends on a cliffhanger where we see Lidia contemplating whether or not she should stay, and we vote stay! The Law According to Lidia Poët deserves another season because there is so much more to Lidia’s story that we don’t know yet, and need to know.
This series had so many iconic moments, but our personal favorite has to be Lidia exchanging a vase that was gifted to her for a bicycle. She has the time of her life riding that thing in a dress and is least bothered about who is looking or who sees her fall. She is learning and she is thrilled about it. There’s a lot you can learn from The Law According to Lidia Poët, but one of the best things is to live your life and accomplish your dreams no matter what anyone says you can or can’t do.
