The Mandalorian Season 3 is something everyone has been looking forward to, especially after the raging success of the first two seasons. There’s no doubt, the bar had been set incredibly high, and The Mandalorian Season 3 had a lot to live up, and so far, it’s done a great job, apart from the third episode, and you can read more about that right here on our website.
The previous episode had mixed reviews, but mostly the lack of some of our favorite characters was enough to rate it a 3/5.
It will be interesting to see what approach the writers and creators take moving forward, which brings us to the preview of The Mandalorian Episode 4, which will be available to stream soon, and we’re here with the episode guide and everything you need to know about the upcoming episode!
What Happened Previously in The Mandalorian and What Can You Expect from Episode 4?
The Mandalorian Episode 3 was a miss for us, by a large mark, and that’s mainly because Din, Bo-Katan, and Grogu only appeared at the beginning of the episode, and then towards the end of the episode. In the middle and majority of the episode, we were transported to the New Republic and we follow the story of Dr. Pershing and Elia Kane.
While this segue seemed unnecessary and irrelevant, it will most likely tie to something more important in the future, but in The Mandalorian episode 3, it’s definitely not what fans wanted to see. Dr. Pershing is adjusting to the New Republic and finds a friend in Elia Kane.
There’s a predictable plot twist and betrayal, nothing out of the ordinary, and not enough to grasp our attention. The end of the episode, however, showed Bo-Katan and Din both getting redeemed after bathing in the Living Waters.
Bo accepts her fate, especially after her home was destroyed. She is welcomed with open arms, but Bo-Katan is weary as she continues wearing the mask. This is the Way.
The Mandalorian Episode 4 has a lot of pressure because this season needs to be redeemed, just like Din and Bo-Katan. We’re hoping this episode is more about Bo-Katan adjusting to her possibly new life, and the bond that has been established between Bo-Katan and Din continues to grow.
We’d also like to see more of Grogu, but that’s a given, and everyone wants more of him. It is certain that Bo-Katan isn’t thrilled but now that she has been redeemed, it’s upon her to decide her fate, but we’re hoping she sticks around for the next few episodes at least, for the sake of the season.
If there’s another segue, we want to see if Dr. Pershing’s brain has been turned to mush and whether or not he remembers Elia Kane and everything that happened.
While the New Republic and the city of Coruscant were a visually appealing segue, it would have to do a lot more to be truly a part of the storyline in The Mandalorian Season 3.
Which Cast Members Can You Expect to See in The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 4?
So far, the attention has largely been on Din Djarin and Bo-Katan, who are played by Pedro Pascal and Katee Sackhoff respectively. We are sure we will be seeing more of them in coming episodes, but what we’re really wondering is if either of them will take their helmets off this season.
We definitely don’t see it happening in the next episode, but if anyone does, it will be Bo-Katan.
The other cast members who are likely to appear in The Mandalorian Episode 4 are Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, and Katy M. O’Brian. Episode 4 could also feature new characters or the return of old characters, but we will have to wait and see how the narrative pans out.
How Many Episodes Does The Mandalorian Season 3 Have?
Just like the previous seasons, The Mandalorian Season 3 will also have 8 episodes, and while that might not seem nearly enough, the hour-long episodes make up for it.
It will be interesting to see how this season ends, but we will have plenty of time until that happens.
When and Where Can You Watch The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 4?
Disney+ has all things Star Wars, and that’s exactly where you can stream The Mandalorian Season 3 as well. Episode 4 will be available to watch on the 22nd of March.
All new episodes are available at 12 am PT and 3 am ET. So make sure you mark your calendars and put an alarm, just so you can avoid any spoilers!
Conclusion
So far, so good is probably the best to describe The Mandalorian Season 3, despite the slightly below-average Episode 3.
