Everyone’s favorite college-themed series has returned for another semester and we can’t wait to talk to you about it! The first two episodes of The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 just dropped and fans (and us, of course) have managed to watch them back-to-back, because of all the unanswered questions we had from the first season of The Sex Lives of College Girls.
The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 has a lot to cover, from Bela’s new magazine to Leighton’s sexuality to Whitney’s love life and of course, Kimberly’s financial problems. We’re happy to tell you that the first two episodes have hit the nail on the head and covered a lot of these issues already and are perfectly set up for the rest of the episodes of The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2!

The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2: What’s Happened So Far?
Although we have only been able to give the first two episodes of The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 so far, which fans are a little disappointed about because this show is the ideal binge show. Despite that, we are happy to tell you that even with only two episodes being released, plenty has happened already. First things first, let’s address the Nico situation. Gavin Leatherwood, who played Nico in the first season of The Sex Lives of College Girls, decided to not reprise his role for a second season, and everyone was curious about what would have to his character.
Well, as of now, his character has not been recast. However, they addressed Nico’s situation in the first episode and got it out of the way. After the last episode of the first season, Nico and some other Theta boys were kicked out of Essex College after Kimberly outed them for cheating and running an entire racket of leaked answer sheets. Although Nico was kicked out, according to Leighton, his father has made a huge donation to Cornell and got him a seat there. So, all good for Nico, right? We are unsure if Nico will make a physical appearance in The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2, but if he does, it’ll have to be a recast! Bela misses Nico just as much as we all do.
Moving along from Nico, something else that stood out in The Sex Lives of College Girls was Leighton and her being a closet lesbian. It was a tough ride with several internal battles and several fans resonated with her. The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 is definitely going to explore more of Leighton and her sexuality. At first, she had only come out to Kimberly, but in Season 2, so far, she has already come out to Bela, Whitney, and a few other people! She’s also more open to going out with girls from Essex and is easing into the process, which was a long time coming!
Bela and her all-female comedy magazine were the highlights of the finale of The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 1! Everyone felt empowered and we couldn’t wait to see what was in store for them. Things aren’t going as planned as Bela’s new magazine has gotten off to a rocky start when the girls realize that they haven’t received any funny submissions so far, and still don’t have anyone for their magazine. Bela decides to seek advice from a member of The Catalan, yes, the sexist magazine from season 1 but she ends up getting some interesting advice and a potential love interest. Things are definitely looking up for Bela and we hope there’s more of her and the magazine in the coming episodes.
Kimberly’s finances had everyone stressed out in the previous, especially given the fact that her family has clearly struggled a lot. The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 opens with all the girls returning to Essex College and Kimberly and her parents drive down to college after a 39-hour journey, which again, reflects a lot on their financial situation especially since they didn’t look like road trip enthusiasts. Kimberly and the girls help her brainstorm ideas, and between feet pics and some other colorful ideas, a student loan seemed reasonable. However, for a student loan, she needed some to co-sign, but Kimberly doesn’t dare to ask her parents to do so. Briefly, Kimberly’s professor agrees to co-sign, but that doesn’t follow through either. All our hearts ache for Kimberly, but we do have faith in her and know that she will find a way out this semester!
Lastly, we have Whitney. Season 1 was a heavy season for her, with all the scandal, the heartbreak, the tournament, and everything. In contrast, The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 has given Whitney the backseat this time around, by the looks of it, although she is still very much an important part of the show. Her relationship with Canaan is explored a little more and we also see her trying to find new hobbies because it is off-season. Whitney is also realizing that maybe she doesn’t have a lot beyond football going on for her, and she needs to fix that. We’re guessing the upcoming episodes will probably have Whitney trying out new things and gaining her confidence back, we miss the old Whitney!
Overall, the first two episodes of The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 have been full of excitement and the girls have also mended their relationship with the frat boys, after a fundraiser that involved stripping. You’re going to have to watch the episodes to fully experience that moment!
When and Where Can You Watch The Next Episodes of The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2?
The next two episodes of The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 will available on the 24th of November, on HBO Max, as well as Amazon Prime! The third episode is titled “The Short King” and the fourth episode is titled “Will You Be My Girlfriend?” which has increased anticipation for the viewers. We have a feeling that Leighton might finally be headed into a more serious relationship with someone, but we could be way off. Also, fans are hoping to see more of the new student at Essex College, and how he might be replacing Nico as the standard hot guy on the show!

We are always hoping for more relatable shows to come through, and we finally have one!
