People have been raving about The White Lotus Season 2 and we completely understand where they are coming from. This season of The White Lotus has been crazier than the first one, with better characters, and maybe it’s the Italian charm, but we’re just as hooked to it as you are! So much has happened in the episodes so far and if only The White Lotus Season 2 could continue forever. Alas, all good things must come to an end, and that includes this brilliant season which was the second installment of the White Lotus series.
We have now reached the end of The White Lotus Season 2, with only one episode left which will be the season’s 7th episode, which means tensions and suspense are running higher than ever before. If you take a beat and think about everything that has happened in the last few episodes, you will have several theories about The White Lotus Season 2 finale, and we’re here to help you out with it. The White Lotus Season 1 only had six episodes, but we’re in luck with Season 2! So, here’s everything you need to know about The White Lotus Season 2 Episode 7:
There have been several different groups and storylines in The White Lotus Season 2 so far. We have the male-dominated Di Grasso family, with Albie, Dominic, and Bert. These are three very complex men belonging representing their generations. Dominic is a sex addict with a crippling marriage, Bert is now widowed and seems to be living his best life, but from what we know, he wasn’t the best fatherly role model to Dominic growing up. And lastly, we have Albie, the black sheep of the family. He is smart, kind, and very different from his father and grandfather. There’s constant tension between Dominic and Albie, especially after Albie sleeps with the same prostitute that Dominic previously slept with, although Albie is blissfully unaware of the fact. Albie seems to be developing a relationship with Lucia, but she seems to have problems of her own. Between these three men, we don’t see either of them killing each other, but if we had to guess, Albie could eventually lose his temper and attack his father for breaking the Di Grasso family apart.
Moving on to the prostitutes, who have been an integral part of The White Lotus Season 2 and will shake things up in the last episode. Lucia and Mia have become fan favorites with their sweet Italian accents and full-of-life personalities. However, their work also gives us a glimpse into the struggles of sex workers all across the world who do what they have to do in order to accomplish their dreams. Lucia and Mia together and separately have been involved with Dominic, Albie, Giuseppe (the piano player), Ethan, Cameron, and Valentina. So it is safe to say that if anything were to happen to any of the guests, fingers would definitely point to Lucia and Mia. However, they don’t seem capable of murder, but at the same time are desperate for money to get ahead in life, so you can never tell. While they possibly aren’t dangerous, and they could be in danger, we’ll have to wait for The White Lotus Season 2 finale to find out more.
Ethan, Harper, Cameron, and Daphne have probably been the most interesting couples in The White Lotus Season 2 so far. From the very beginning, tensions were running high between the four because Harper wasn’t ready to adjust to the group, and was far from being able to trust or like Cameron and Daphne. In recent episodes, things have taken a turn for the worst. While Daphne and Harper were away shopping and staying the night in Noto, Ethan and Cameron spent the night with Mia and Lucia. Cameron and Lucia had sex, however, Ethan stayed loyal to Harper, but received a cold treatment from his wife upon her return, while Cameron was showered with kisses. The most recent episode, which was episode six, has insinuated that Cameron and Harper might potentially have had sex to get back at Ethan. This has not been confirmed and seems like an evil seed planted in Ethan’s mind so far. Albeit, fans are wondering about Cameron and Daphne. Are they in an open relationship? Is Cameron even the father of Daphne’s children? Daphne seems far too unphased by Cameron’s antics, maybe she’s planning on getting rid of him in Italy, who can tell? What we know for sure is that Daphne isn’t being killed as she appeared in the opening scene of the first episode where she was the one who discovered the floating dead body.
Another interesting storyline is of Tanya and Portia. Tanya was abandoned by her husband in Italy, who seems to be having an extramarital affair, and Tanya seems to be in denial. Meanwhile, Portia and Albie spent some time together in the initial episodes but have since parted ways because Portia needed something a little more exciting and Albie was too stable and nice for her. We’re almost certain she’s regretting the decision now. Quentin and his supposed nephew Jack, have whisked away Tanya and Portia to Palmero, where secrets about Quentin and Jack’s relationship begin to uncover, and it’s not looking good. Portia is slowly coming to her senses about Jack, and Tanya is having a sexual rendezvous with an Italian man, briefly forgetting about her husband to whom she is still very much married. Tanya made it out alive in The White Lotus Season 1, but will the same happen in Season 2 as well?
There has been a lot to unpack and this was only the tip of the iceberg, at this point, anyone could kill or be killed.
Every vacation must come to an end, and the promo for The White Lotus Season 2 finale tells us just that. By the looks of it, as we guessed, Portia is indeed regretting her involvement with Jack as Tanya notices her absence. We know very little so far, but Jack seems to not want to let go of his time with Portia, almost holding her captive under the pretense of a fun and satisfying vacation, and possibly life. As for Ethan and Cameron, tensions are running higher than ever because Ethan is haunted by the idea of Harper and Cameron having slept together, and maybe The White Lotus Season 2 Finale will give us some answers on that front. Could Ethan be the one who kills Cameron? There is a motive, there is anger, and there is a lot of testosterone that could get the best of them.
Albie on the other hand wants to save Lucia from the bad men, which means he will have to lend her a whole lot of money and Dominic doesn’t seem on board with the idea. Albie and Dominic haven’t seen eye to eye since the very first episode, and Albie holds a lot of resentment for his father who cheated on Albie’s mother several times. Albie has been calm for the longest time, and it is usually the calmer ones that blow up, and again, although there isn’t a motive to kill, there is a motive nonetheless.
There have been so many characters in The White Lotus Season 2, with some very complicated storylines and issues, that it is almost impossible to guess who makes it out alive and who doesn’t. Nevertheless, The White Lotus Season 2 Finale will answer all our questions and we can’t wait for it!
The White Lotus Season 2 Finale will be available to watch on the 11th of December on HBO and HBO Max. The title of the finale is “Byg” which seems incredibly cryptic, but we hope there are some answers regarding the title too.
The White Lotus Season 2 Finale is one of the most anticipated season finales of 2022 this far because of the plethora of unanswered questions that should hopefully be answered in the upcoming episode. Do you have any theories about this episode? Who do you think will make it alive?
