The White Lotus Season 2 premiered on the 30th of October, and so far we have two episodes, and fans are already keen on learning more about these characters in the upcoming episodes. The first season of The White Lotus was a raging success amongst audiences and critics, as it gave its viewers an interesting murder mystery to solve while also following the lives of different characters and their twisted sense of life and humor.
The White Lotus Season 2 is following the same premise as season 1 but has different characters this time around, and a different setting. Only two episodes are out so far, and there’s already so much that has happened, and we’re here to debrief with you. Here’s everything that has happened in The White Lotus Season 2 Episodes 1 and 2, and what you can expect from the Finale:

The first episode of The White Lotus Season 2 opened with Meghann Fahy’s character, Daphne Sullivan basking under the sun as she enjoys her last day at the white lotus resort in Italy. After having a brief conversation with two women who just started their holiday she decides to take one last swim in the ocean, and that’s where disaster strikes. A dead body floats towards her, leaving a screaming and petrified Daphne. However, that one dead body wasn’t the only one. This season, the creators have decided to up the ante will several deaths. So far, we have no idea who the dead bodies are, but at least we can rule out Daphne, and Valentina, the hotel manager, played by Sabrina Impacciatore.
The opening scene hints towards accidents, murders, and several other possibilities and once we’re through with that question mark, it’s time to meet the guests. This time around there are no teenagers or kids, it’s an all-adult show. As their boat arrives on the dock, filled with guests, we see two women waiting for someone in particular on the boat. Lucia and Mia are best friends and possibly the local prostitutes (although Mia is more likely an ambitious singer) who frequent the white lotus in Sicily. Valentina isn’t their biggest fan by the looks of it, and it is entirely possible that one of them could be killed, or be the killer.
As the guests make their way in, we see Jennifer Coolidge, reprising her role as Tanya McQuoid, only this time around she is married to none other than her lover from Season one, Greg Hunt. Given the state of their marriage with Greg possibly having an extramarital affair, maybe he’s one of the dead bodies? Because we know Tanya’s mind doesn’t always work right, and anger isn’t good for anyone. Portia, Tanya’s assistant, also accompanied her to Sicily, which upset Greg to a great extent. The friction between these three characters was very visible in the first episode, but Portia takes the hint and branches out, making other friends who are also guests at the white lotus.
Speaking of these friends, we have the three men of the Di Grasso family: Bert, Dominic, and Albie. All three of them are dealing with their own issues and are very different from each other. But these different generations have come together to learn more about their Sicilian roots, and the family’s women have taken a step back from them. Bert, the grandfather, can’t stop flirting with women who are young enough to be his granddaughter. Dominic, the father, has a sex addiction and has cheated on his wife several times, it’s no wonder she didn’t come for the vacation. Finally, Albie, the son and probably the most sane amongst them all. However, is his sanity hanging by a thread and ready to break? Is he going to end up killing his father?
If you thought all these characters seemed crazy, we haven’t even gotten to some of the most interesting characters so far. The two couples who are friends but have tension that could be cut by a knife. Daphne and Cameron Sullivan are a rich and attractive couple, who are ridiculously in love with each other and are almost too perfect. Then we have Harper and Ethan Spiller, who seem like every other couple. They argue here and there, they don’t have enough sex, and are a little envious of Daphne and Cameron’s relationship. However, Harper is most definitely the odd one out, and despite trying, she has a hard time fitting in with the couple. They don’t vote or read the news, what’s she supposed to talk to them about?
So far, all these characters have had a lot going on in the first two episodes. We could point the murderous finger at absolutely anyone because they all have their moments of anger, everyone hates someone on The White Lotus Season 2!
The third episode of The White Lotus Season 2 is titled “Bull Elephants,” and you can watch the promo here. The promo shows Daphne and Harper spending some girl time together, and having a different kind of fun than what we expected (from Daphne at least). Meanwhile, the boys are being men and trying out some adventure sports and also having some fun with Lucia and Mia. This episode will definitely be action-packed and there will be some mistakes made. Also, it will be interesting to see how Tanya proceeds with her husband’s possible infidelity.
Undoubtedly, The White Lotus Season 2 has been gaining momentum despite only two episodes being released yet. Although the wait has left the fans a little impatient especially since the mystery this time around seems a little bigger than in the previous episode.
