Tsurune: The Linking Shot is an anime adaptation of Tsurune – a light novel series written and illustrated by Chinatsu Morimoto. The first novel bagged the special Judge award in the Kyoto Animation Award in 2016 and got published later in December that year.
Tsurune: The Linking Shot is the second season and it’s recommended to watch the first season before watching Tsurune: The Linking Shot. The first season was released in October 2018 and the second season is ongoing in 2023.
In Tsurune: The Linking Shot the plot will not just revolve around one single character but will cover other members’ stories as well. Minato Narumia who practiced Kyudo since middle school quit archery due to a significant incident in his last tournament.
After attending high school he comes to meet his childhood friends Seiya Takehaya and Ryōhei Yamanouchi who try to convince Minato to join them in High School’s Kyudo club again. Then he meets Minato and others leading him to his passion once again.
Tsurune: The Linking Shot is the second season which covers the part after Minato joins the club and starts practicing with others. As the story progresses we keep getting glimpses of Minato’s and other characters’ pasts. The season will most likely cover the character’s past and their growth to win the tournament in the future.
