Yona of the Dawn Season 1 Plot
The story begins with the tale of four dragon kings, while the Crimson dragon god found the Kouka kingdom and came down to earth as a human he realized that the humans are living in an era of evil and darkness.
He decided to go against the humans, but as he was about to get killed the four dragons from the heavens appear and help him win the war. Soon the crimson dragon king passes away and the four great dragons in human flesh go separate ways. These dragons end up forming tribes based on elements like Sky, Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire.
The main story revolves around Yona the princess of Kouka. She is the daughter of King Il who is also the ruler of the sky tribe. She lives in her castle with her bodyguard named Hak and Soo won her crush.
When she tells her father that she wants to marry Soo Won, her father dismisses her and tells her to forget about him on her sixteenth birthday, when she goes to her father’s chambers to talk about marriage again she finds Soo Won driving his sword against her father.
Yona and Hak end up becoming fugitives when Soo-Won takes the charge of Sky tribe. To avenge her father and get back the throne she embarks on a journey to find the long-lost dragons.
