Marvel’s ‘Shang-Chi and The Legend of Ten Rings’ became hugely popular among fans. So much so that fans wanted a sequel to the movie soon after the first. Since the announcement of a sequel, fans are excited to know what more can be seen in ‘Shang-Chi 2’.
A major announcement about the sequel is going to amaze you. The former director Destin Daniel Cretton will once again be directing the movie.
Simu Liu Confirms Destin Daniel Cretton will direct Shang-Chi 2
Simu Liu who played the lead as Shaun aka Shang Chi, recently was spotted on the premier of his latest movie, ‘Arthur The King’. While interacting with ComicBook, the actor was asked about the sequel and seemed hopeful. He said-
Oh man, I don’t know to be honest…I just wanna continue to be a fan of it…But, you know Destin is such a special filmmaker and we’re very happy to have him on the sequel. So, he’ll be working on that and we’re excited to see what he comes up with. I think he’s going to do a brilliant job.
Destin Daniel Cretton will be directing the sequel yet he wasn’t been able to comment on this news and neither anything from Marvel has been confirmed.
So chances are the sequel to the Ten Rings might begin anytime soon. Previously, it has been known that the sequel might take us back in time to when the rings were made. It is also said that there will be some connection to the upcoming Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty’. It is rumored that the ring’s origin story will be revealed.
Talking about the prequel, Shaun and his sister are brought to their father’s place where they come across a land that her mother belonged to. Their father tells them that their mother’s soul has been trapped behind a cave and she is calling to help her out.
Shaun and his sister combine forces with their aunt to stop him because behind the cave lives a deadly soul-sucking beast that will bring an end to the world.
