The popular Disney+ Star War series ‘The Mandalorian’ has garnered a big fan following in just 5 years. The series had three seasons and the fourth one is in development. The Star Wars series has been so popular that the makers have announced a movie to the series.
Yes, you heard right. The baby Yoda aka Grogu and Din Djarin aka the Mando are set to be featured in a movie, anytime soon. The movie will be directed by Jon Favreau.
The Mandalorian movie is in full swing
The series ‘The Mandalorian’ captured huge fans into the realm of galactic jumps and space guns to kill enemies. Now the series is given a good 3-hour fun without any ad breaks. The actor and director Jon Favreau is going to direct the movie. According to THR(The Hollywood Reporter), Jon said-
“I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
Ever since the news broke, fans are ecstatic about the movie and see Grogu back on screen. Not much is known about the plot but hopefully, the series cast Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, and also Ahsoka Tano aka Rosario Dawson might be cast in the movie.
The movie by LucasFilms is temporarily been slated for release in December 2025.
The Mandalorian: What Do We Know
The Star War spinoff The Mandalorian talks about a Mandalorian who works as a contract assassin for wanted people by The Republic in a small town Mos Pelgo. He is given a contract to kill someone who poses a threat to the galaxy. As he arrives, he finds that the package is a baby, an alien.
He runs away with the baby as he comes across that someone from the Empire wants to possess the powers of the baby and bring back the Empire’s rule. He escapes with the baby and towards the end of season 1 episode 8 he gives away the baby to a Jedi.
In season 2 Mando and Grogu are again together and he finds out that the baby has powers and can move things. He meets Ahsoka Tano who tells him that he is a Jedi and has locked his powers for his safety. Mando takes him to the ruined temple of the Jedi and he gains back his powers. The Empire again strikes and Grogu saves everyone.
In season 3 Mando helps Grogu learn the Mandalorian tricks and training and becomes Mando’s apprentice. The New Republic is established but still, the Empire has its roots in the system. Mando adopts Grogu and lives with his Mando family on the outskirts of Mel Pelgo.
